Everything on the robot ends at the roboRIO. It runs your code on a real-time loop, talks to motor controllers over CAN, reads sensors on its DIO and analog ports, and reports back to the driver station. When it browns out under a 12-volt sag, or your code overruns its 20-millisecond loop, the whole robot stops — so voltage and loop timing are the first two things to check.
