where you actually meet NEO / NEO 550
NEOs are the motor most teams meet first: brushless, cheap enough to keep spares, with an encoder built in and a SPARK MAX or SPARK Flex on the other end. The 550 is the small one — great for intakes and turrets, easy to cook if you stall it. Both are configured through the REV Hardware Client, which you will end up running in the pit.
Free and structured, and none of them need an account to read.
